New bug on the User Profile pages since the shoutboxes came back:

These pictures were taken within seconds of each other at 2:49 pm EST. Please note the discrepancy in the post date. The second picture is of the actual post. The first picture is the user profile page. Pay attention to the My Conversations box. You'll notice that the most recent post date is set to 2 hrs 37 minutes AWAY. This means that the post will happen in the future. I know TOR is a speculative fiction market, but I doubt this is intentional It should read 20 minutes AGO, based on the time stamps. Something is messed up with the date_format() function in the code, I'd guess.

Ok, new image uploads are worthless for bug reports unless you can maximize them. You can't. Consider that another bug. Here are the pictures uploaded to my server and pasted in here full size:

It's not just that, shalter, the time is no where near correct. I think the interpretation of the unix timestamp is set to add three hours to it.

Not only are the times not correct, but my most recent comment (on TGS part 27) doesn't show in the Recent Comments list because it's 3 hours "away". My edit to that comment noting same doesn't even show up. Freaky.

edit: Or didn't; I just noticed it show up.

Yesterday the site was having a lot of issues... the comment not showing up is probably unrelated. Maybe.

Since I'm not seeing a lot of new comments land in the "unpublished" queue, my working assumption is that they're taking a long time to process, but will make their appearance eventually. Reports of a rash of double comments would fit with that, since people whose comments weren't showing up might well assume that "post comment" hadn't worked the first time, and try it again.

That makes sense. Make sure Gardner knows not to hit the back button and keep trying to post... he's been affected the worst. One time was four comments in a row!

I saw that, and killed three of them. Just to keep things fair and balanced, the system was also taking forever to process our "unpublish" commands.
