Unfortunately, there's no way to make your messages confidential. At most you can ROT-13 them or white them out, but that will only fool some of the people some of the time. We'll have to make do.

You may need to forward this to the right person if it's not you. Since yesterday I cannot stay logged in. If I leave the page for a few minutes, when I come back I need to log in again. (Yes, I checked "Remember Me.") Can someone figure out what happened and correct it? Thank you, and thanks for taking care of the re-read board!

Have you tried with a different browser? Did you go into "Silent" mode, or 'Private" mode on your browser? Have you tried emptying your cache? My "Remember Me" has been working.

Somehow I failed to notice your post til today, tnh...

What do you mean by coming back? I tried posting anonymously, like a user who doesn't have an account, and it worked. I didn't think it would work, but I'm guessing it did because I wasn't logged in. I didn't want to make any comments on any post though, I just wanted to get the first comment for once. Even though I was able to the past two weeks, I had kept missing the opportunity because I got absorbed in other things. I swear on my love of anime that's all it was, totally innocent.

Anyway, I just wrote you an honest PM, I hope you read it. And I apologize for my hasty response before.

Man-O-Manetheran, I'm experiencing the same problem. I assume it's a side effect of the current round of work being done on the site, but I'll check to see whether it's anything else.

Anthony, very good suggestion, but the PTBs have decreed that for the time being, I shouldn't tell the users to switch to a third communication system because it might confuse them. Not that this doesn't keep anyone from using it.

Tenkuu: Okay. In future, you can take it as a rule that if you're temporarily banned, you don't post to the site using a different account. It's still three weeks, but since you've explained, I feel more phlegmatic and less choleric about it than I did before.

Teresa, is there a way to contact someone personally via their profile or something? I'd like to send an email to someone, since shoutboxes aren't back, but obviously that's not a visible part of the profile. I realize this is a super long shot, because if it was easy it would be easily abused, but I thought it was worth asking.
